MICHELLE WERRETT
A slight figure in a wide-brimmed hat wandering along a tumbling moorland stream. There is a small rod in her hand, ancient tins of home tied flies in her pockets and a pencil poked into her bound-up hair. From time to time she stops to watch a dipper bobbing or a group of hinds stepping through the heather; sometimes she might sit on the bank to eat a piece of chocolate, feel the peat-stained water and listen to the babbling stream. Occasionally she may even catch a fish.
Song of the Streams, about fishing and conservation on Exmoor, is her first book.
